Well hawki you are wrong about not doing summer workouts, my daughter ran at Ashe and the hurdling coach there worked with her a couple days a week all summer and fall. Ashe almost always wins the conference title in the hurdles. This year their girls got 1st , 2nd, and 4th in the 100 hurdles and 2nd, 3rd and 5th in the 300 hurdles. Their boys were just as successful. Ashe coaches have their athletes motivated more than any other school in the conference, you can see that by their numbers.Oh yeah, they had 32 on their indoor team this year.

congrats! all track athletes like their coaches.... they dont have to do summer workouts or have to remember plays or have to truly work with their teammates. track is all about the individual. really tough for todays kids to buy into the other team sports!

Well, Ashe did win both boys and girls. Boys third in a row and girls second in a row. Ashe has something going up there. The kids really enjoy running for those coaches.

Ashe, of course cause its a numbers game. Their numbers are always much better than other schools. Not sure why, its much easier to get todays kids to buy into the sports that ultimately disguises individual sports as "team" sports.
